Bihl Beckstedt, President and Principle Designer
Bihl Beckstedt created RetroNu in 2002 after leaving the corporate world to focus on his true passion - design.
Growing up, Bihl was always tinkering with projects on his family home in Cincinnati and for friends of the family. Whether turning a basement into a Billiard Room or convincing everyone that the original hardwoods were more appropriate than the mauve carpeting of the 80's. When it was time for college, he first studied in Tours, France where his love of art and architecture grew. He then enrolled at Ball State University where he took extra curricular classes in Art and Architecture, while pursuing a degree in Business.
After college, Bihl worked his way up the Corporate ladder, including roles as a Mutual Fund Accountant, Stock Broker, Technology Director, Sales Strategist, Events Director and culminating as an Environmental and Retail Brand Manager. In his final role, he was able to marry his business sense with his love of design, transforming an outdated retail network into a vibrant sales environment.
The RetroNu team does both residential and commercial design projects, from small home projects to a full renovation of your home or business. We focus on every detail of the job. Our goal is to build an environment reflective of the owner's personality, while ensuring form and function live in harmony.
