Design Consultation:
Every project begins with a consultation - preferably where the work is to be performed. During this consultation, we'll discuss your tastes, needs, wants, likes and dislikes. We evaluate the character of your home or business which, in combination with the input you have provided and your specific budget, will help us formulate a design and execution plan. After this visit, we'll recommend a design plan defining how to reach your goals and our suggested level of involvement.
Our Fee Schedule varies depending on our level of involvement in your design job and the method you choose. Below are some of the options that are available.
Material Design Commission Fee
In this case, our fee is charged as a commission on the materials and services purchased for the job. This method is usually applied to large scale projects where many hours of design time is anticipated. The client purchases the material with our assistance as we help oversee construction with your contractors or we can recommend ones from our preferred list for you to hire..
Flat Rate Fee
After evaluating your design needs and formulating a plan of action we may decide to quote a “flat rate” price. With flat rate pricing the client knows the cost of our services from the start. In the case of project changes, our hourly rate will apply for all work that is beyond the scope of the original agreement.
Hourly Fee
The client may choose to pay us an hourly fee for our Design Services alone.
